1 month on HRT
I don't really know how to start this, but yeah, at the time this is published, it's been officially 1 month since I've started on HRT!
Now, if you've kept up with this blog before, you may have noticed that I mentioned it would only be a few days before I started with something like this... But that was 5 months ago. So, what happened?
A few things really, problems like accidentally visiting the wrong type of Endo, which set me back 4 months, plus the prescription system being down for a week after the visit to the correct Endo, not to mention how my country keeps shifting into a terrible side for these kind of things, it was pain. But hey, it happened!
It's funny because when I arrived in there I thought I got the wrong type of Endo again, but when I entered the room and he asked me for what I identify as/my pronouns, it made me feel better. I was internally screaming of joy as the visit progressed, to the point that when I left, I had a very visible smile, and you know that's weird because I hate the city where this Endo is located in.
So, what happened since February 19th (which is where I officially started with HRT) and now? Quite some stuff.
For one, through the first week I've noticed my body feeling... Weird. I don't know if it was my body getting used to the Estrogen pills or what, but it took me a bit to get used to it... Which was for naught, since after the first week these feelings went away.
For the other, I was already aware that it'd take a long while (around 3 to 6 months) to even see some of the kind of changes I want, so I was already expecting that I just needed to wait a lot.
What I didn't expect is to see other kind of changes, things like my skin getting more smoother and a decrease in libido (not like I had much in the first place) in the first week already are a difference of day and night when it changes, and they made me notice that HRT was actually doing its thing, making me hopeful for what's to come.
Now that it's been 3 more weeks since then, the changes mentioned above intensified: My skin is a lot more smoother now, to the point that my elbows of all things aren't dry anymore, which was a great surprise. Along with this, my libido went from a decrease to just being basically dead, which I prefer it that way, honestly.
I've also noticed two other new changes, one of which I won't mention because it's too personal, but for the other: my hair got a bit more puffy ever since I've started on this, making it look closer to my sisters hair, which I love because I like their hair a lot... Granted, when I have it tied I look like that Nerd meme of the early 2010s, but whenever I have it untied and look at the mirror, it's like I see that person I hope to become a few years from now.
Not everything is nice though, as my dysphoria hit pretty hard this month, specifically regarding my chosen name and pronouns. It... didn't went that well there, to say the least. Even then, I'm hopeful that with my HRT already started, this will change for the better as time goes on.
One last thing, but my Estrogen pills taste like strawberries. Delicious.
I think that's all I wanted to say, so I'll see you all for this in 2 months, when I've hopefully learned how to double jump and dash through the air.
